I shot this photography in a small alley at home. The walls are painted in white, so it helped a lot to rebound the light .Time
It was around 6 or 7 pm, in order to get a softer lighting.Lighting
When the natural daylight was fading away, I started to use my in camera flash, always pointing indirectly, to keep the softness in the ambiance.Equipment
I made this shot with my faithful camera, Nikon D5000 and a Yongnuo flash. I equipped my camera with a 50mm vintage lens, in manual mode.Inspiration
I was making a photo session with my niece as model, so we were joking, that way I got some smiles and laughs, and I took advantage of it making a lot of shoots with my camera. She had recently reached 15 years old, and I wanted to make a session with a sweet and tender mood. She is a very strong girl, so very few people get to know this side of her personality, so I tried to capture it in the session.Editing
I wanted to nuance the frame with the same mood, so I made some color editing with color selective, turning the whites in a soft pink. Also made a subtle work with some small pimples in her skin. Finally, I enhanced the colors and did some retouch to the make up.In my camera bag

If you are trying to make fashion photography, always look for the better skin, it will save you a lot of time in post-processing. In the other hand, if you want to make portraiture, make a relation with the model, speak about everything, try to open their feelings, that is the better way to make a honest photography,
