On the way to the hotel (1-3), that will serve as our headquarters (please read the message)

My purpose is to join a group (no more than 30-35 people) from all over the world with the common passion for photography and enough alive to want to discover new things, from architectural ones (castles, old building, cromlechs & menhires), vineyards & excellent wines, fantastic Portuguese food (in old convents and castles as well as in small typical restaurants), lakes, etc., etc. Besides, of course, the exchange of experiences with nice persons we only know virtually (facebook) – maybe with some exceptions -, not forgetting several moments to catch that special angle of a tree, a bird, a cloudy sky, a flower, a landscape, a building, an old stone wall or whatever your eyes discover and your feelings approve.

It´s my pleasure to invite you for a week photo-tour in Alentejo, one of the central regions of Portugal, next October (average temperature 12º - 23º), between the 15th and the 22 nd.

“Alentejo” is very well known by its landscape (usually golden in Autumn), old villages, castles and monuments, good food (quite different from the rest of Portugal), vineyards and wines (among the best of the country and some awarded as the best in world) and nice & peaceful people – with a very peculiar accent, that make us think they are singing.
This idea began some time ago with the challenge that two of our virtual friends made me. At that time I was not feeling enough strong to take the responsibility of organizing something different that you could like and it could be kept in your memory until the last day of your lives.

Although I’m Spanish (or maybe better Iberian) I love Portugal and I’m rendered to the beauty of this country, where you can find unexpected places, such as the Hotel where we will stay, in the middle of a farm (“Monte Alentejano”) surrounded by green fields, birds, trees and peaceful cows grazing slowly – an ecological paradise, that will serve us as headquarters.
Let me, with no more delays, present you the Program – although still provisional – that I´m preparing. Later, until our meeting in October, I will provide as many information as I can to help you to prepare for the great week.
Of course, it will be a great pleasure to receive and guide you in this experience.
