This photo was taken in the backyard of a former friends house, just before they entered the home with their newly arrived puppy.Time
It was a late afternoon, when they came home with that goofball of a puppy.Lighting
It was a greyish day and quite the challenge to take a picture that doesn't seem brownish/greyish.Equipment
I don't own any fancy equipment, so this shot was taken with a Nikon D5000 i've had for almost a decade and a 55-200mm Nikkor lense. No flash, as the puppy might have been afraid of it.Inspiration
I just really wanted to capture the moment a young puppy arrives at its new home for the very first time, cuddled up in its humanly momma's arms and about to go inside, to the new place to live. It was a very intimate moment, because even though the puppy just got introduced to its' new owners, it was completely trusting and cuddled itself up, when they were about to enter the new home.Editing
I was quite lucky for this shot, I just altered the alignment a bit.In my camera bag

Look for the small moments in life, the most intimate ones, capturing a new experience made by young animals is always a lot of fun and you never know beforehand what the outcome will be. It's kind of like a surprise everytime.
