A fully mature May Day Tree at Minnekhada Regional Park in Coquitlam, B.C.. In 1934 Lieutenant Governor Eric Hamber built the Lodge and gardens as his summer residence. He planted species from all around the world in the gardens surrounding the Lodge. This plant is native to Northern Europe and Asia, but is doing just fine where it is.
