Dear Amanda: The Buddhist temples in Asia are ornate with lots of gold leaf; it is the same for the large, old churches in Europe, they are so breathtaking. In Thailand, a few people in government are critical of the people because they give so much to make their temples so special, but I like it and think its a good idea if that's what they want to do. Dear Laureen: Thanks for your comment, as I recall this is a special synagogue, not only historical in contest, but also a museum. Prague has about 1000 hectares of well-preserved buildings from the past, Hitler spared Prague from destruction to make it a living museum of the past, including the Jewish Quarter. :)
