Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken at a Taste And Tunes event, a small festival in Farmers Branch.

Time

This would have been shot in late afternoon.

Lighting

The sun was setting behind a small grover of trees, there was some subdued light filtering through but not a lot.

Equipment

This was taken with a Canon 5d mkIII and an 85mm F1.8 lens. No tripod or flash, I was just wandering the event having fun!

Inspiration

I just thought it was an interesting 'street photography' shot. I wasn't really looking to shoot anyting in particular out there

Editing

This was left as-is, I did no post processing on this shot

In my camera bag

I normally carry a Canon 70D with a Tamron 16/300mm mounted and a 5D Mk III with any number of lenses ranging from a 8mm diagonal fisheye to a Sigma 200-500mm telephoto, depending on what I'll be shooting. I'm usually looking for cool things at random while traveling, so I don't get to plan a lot of shots beforehand - I've found I spend the most time with various prime lenses and the 17-300mm Tamron though, the Tamron's range lets you capture almost anything on the fly and reduces the need for lens changes out in the open

Feedback

This was an impromptu shot, I really don't have much advise. Happy shooting!
