Location
This photo was taken during a walk around my old neighborhood, I had just moved there and only then realized how close the shore actually was.Time
There was still a bit of daylight to burn when I started off to my walk. I ended up at the shoreline when the sun was starting to sink down and I got to enjoy the blue-hour, feeling the gentle breeze.Lighting
The natural light was beautiful that evening, I loved how the blue sky brought certain calmness to the picture.Equipment
This shot was taken with a Canon 6D that had Canon 70-300 1:4 attached to it.Inspiration
The reeds were moving beautifully in the wind and the sounds they were making created a very relaxing and calming moment I wanted to convey.Editing
I did very little post-processing to this image, I “simply” ran it through Lightroom to set the mood a bit more.In my camera bag
First things first: my Canon 6D. That precious thing has been attached to my hand for years. I also always pack these three lenses: Canon 50mm, Sigma 24-105mm and Sigma 85mm Art. Also, always carry an extra battery and a memory card, aaaanything can happen.Feedback
Go out. Explore your surroundings and nature. Take pictures of things that make you feel some type of way. Even the ordinary is often extraordinary. And don’t worry too much.
