This is the first closeup I ever took of anything, and I am so pleased with how well it came out! It's a blooming hydrangea on my bush in our front yard. I love how the various sizes of the tiny buds look like they're actually opening before your very eyes! They have sort of a time-lapsed appearance.

I think I shot this in the mid to late 2000s. To this day, it remains on my list of favorites!
