Behind The Lens

Location

My wife and I were renting an apartment in Paris in May 2011. I decided to take 2 shots of the staircase one morning; one from the top and this one from the bottom to complement one another.

Time

This was taken on our way out for the day so sometime between 9 and 10 AM Paris time

Lighting

Just natural light from windows in the stairwell.

Equipment

Konica Minolta Maxxum 7D. Sigma 28-300.

Inspiration

A lark. It just expressed the old staircase in the 8 story building. Our apartment was on the 8th floor.

Editing

Not that I remember. 10 years is a long time.

In my camera bag

On this trip I just had my 28-300 Sigma lens.

Feedback

Look for the unusual and things that leave the viewer to use their imagination. Things like "wow, I'd hate to have to climb all thos stairs with groceries!"
