Doyers Street in Chinatown used to be the most dangerous street in NYC. The near 90 degree bend makes it locked out from the streets on both sides. It was the home to gang violence and bloodshed. This street is the center to the turf war between gangs. Nobody wants to be on this street, let alone, be there at night. This photograph contrasts the bloody history of the location, with the bright outfit of the model. The chair she is on represents personal space, something people on historical Doyers Street will never truly have.
