Location
This photo was taken at the Grand Canyon Park in the United States. I am a professional photographer, and shot this picture on a Canon T3. It was the camera I could afford at the time. It was a surreal experience to visit this national park, I highly recommend it to anyone looking to see something "out of this world".Time
I took this picture free hand with no Tri-pod. I was just amazed at what I was seeing that I just shot as I walked. It was short after noon, with a storm coming in. I the mixture of sun and cloud produced some spectacular lighting on the canyon.Lighting
I was hoping to capture the dynamic of the mixture of sun and clouds and just the mystic of the view. I tried using a polarize filter on my lens.Equipment
I photographed this shot on a Canon T3, with an 18-200mm Canon Telephoto lensInspiration
I typically love photographing nature and I could no resist getting some pictures of the Grand Canyon. I had always wanted to see them, and pictures don't do justice to the actual sight in person.Editing
I did do some post-processing, I mainly used adobe photoshop and lightroom to edit these photo. In my camera bag
I don't really have a fancy kit, I just photograph from platforms I can afford at the time. I currently have a Canon T5i and 50mm fixed lens and an 18-200mm Telephoto lens. I have a Canon Speedlite flash and two batteries. I have a polarize filter as well as a lens hood to avoid lens flares.Feedback
I would say, if you are going try to capture a similar shot, using a zoom lens of some sort can help capture some depth of field as well as bringing into perspective how large these canyons are. Depending on the look you are going for, summer season is my favourite because weather doesn't seem to get in the way as much.
