Behind The Lens

Location
The Brahminy Kite bird photo was taken catching the fish from lake. This place was situated near the back water of Bhavani river side which was called as Sidthan Kuttai Village in Erode district in India.
Time
2017-03-03 at 7.30 am.
Lighting
Light was very poor. Cloudy day.
Equipment
Canon EOS 5 D Mark 3. Canon 100-400 mm Zoom lens at 400 mm. No Tripod. No Flash F 8, 1/2660 sec, ISO- 640 From the boat this image was taken increasing the ISO to 2660 and shutter speed 660 because to avoid shake off the boat.
Inspiration
When, we were boating suddenly heard the noise inside the water near the boat. Immediately turn the camera that side fraction of the second the bird took the fish went up nearly 20 mtr high. And then suddenly increasing the ISO and Shutter speed.
Editing
Image of the bird was in the right side of the frame. So cropped it the image for 1/3 of the frame. And also make increasing brightness.
In my camera bag
Canon EOS 7 and 5 D Mark 3rd bodies. Canon 17- 40 mm, 100 mm macro, 100-400 mm Zoom Lenses. EF 1.4x Extender , Converter, Flash 550 EX, Canon Extension tube EF 25 II. Blower, ND filter.
Feedback
Patient, Regular exercise for walking. When you photograph birds or mammals don't try to take long time. Don't try to make fly or ran to capture action shots. Wait till until it flies or run naturally on its way.
