Volunteer Point, Falkland Islands

Mid afternoon

Lighting

The light in the Falklands can be really low or quite harsh, I try to pic an angle that works with the situation at the time.

Equipment

Canon 650D with a tamron 70-300mm

Inspiration

The king penguins at volunteer point are exceptional subjects, I could have watched and took photos of them for hours and hours. I can't wait to go back with my upgraded equipment!

Editing

I use capture one pro, with a custom preset that I tweak to get the best from each shot.

In my camera bag

Depends on the day, I normally tailor it for where I am going. But in this case all my telephoto gear was essential.
