Location
I took this photo in my very small, naturally rather dark spare room.
Time
Late at night about 1:30-2:00 am. It was a couple of days after Christmas, when I finally had time to unpack from my holiday trip.
Lighting
There was one overhead incandescent light fixture with one 60 watt bulb, in an otherwise dark room. It was exactly what the shot needed.
Equipment
This shot was a spur of the moment vision. The only equipment I had readily available was the camera on my LG Stylo 2 cell phone. The room lighting was perfect for it so I didn't use the flash on the camera. The HDR setting was turned off as well.

Inspiration
My inspiration for this shot came as soon as I unpacked the pen set and layed it on the carpet. The color of the carpet just seemed to make all the other colors "Pop". The light was perfect! I just grabbed up my phone and framed it in and took the shot!
Editing
The only post processing I did was to do some PIP additions. That's where the circles came into play. No color or lighting changes at all. It just sort of fell into place.
In my camera bag
Normally I have my Canon DSLR nearby. The additional lenses I carry are my 80-200 zoom lens and my macro lens. Plus I always make sure to have an extra battery charged!
Feedback
The only thing I can say about this is to always have your artist eyes open, a camera close at hand and your creativity flowing!
