This was a shot I had to work for. We stood in the snow for about an hour and a half waiting for the right lighting. I forgot snow boots so I had plastic bags wrapped around my tennis shoes. I slipped three times because of the bags...falling twice with my camera landing in the snow..but I feel like the end result was worth it all. Sometimes its just about being patient and waiting for the right lighting.

Location
This was taken in Naturpark Blausee in Blausee, Switzerland.Time
We stood in the snow for about an hour and a half waiting for the right lighting just after sunset.Lighting
The warm lighting sporadically throughout the path ways made for great interest lighting through the woods.Equipment
Canon EOS 5D Mark IV; Tripod; Canon 16-35mm f/2.8 LInspiration
The scenery was so amazing that I could not leave the area without capturing a shot to include on my memory wall. This photo took quite an effort to capture as I forgot snow boots so I had to wrap plastic bags around my tennis shoes. I slipped three times because of the bags...falling twice with my camera landing in the snow but felt like in the end the effort was worth the trouble.Editing
I did drop the highlights, raised the shadows and used a little dehazing to clean up some of the falling snow detail. In my camera bag
Canon 5D Mark IV; Canon 16-35mm f/2.8 L; Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 L; Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 L; Sigma 50mm f/1.4; Canon 2x Extender III; Canon 135mm f/2.0; Canon 100mm f/2.8 LFeedback
This is all about being extremely patient and just waiting for the right lighting. Be willing to go through some difficulty and discomfort to get your shot.
