Behind The Lens

Location

I shot this photo by the sea Rimini Italy at 5h30am. I drove 2h30 hours to get there. Model was waiting for me there. I did not get any sleep to get there in time.

Time

It was 5h30 in the morning summer time. It was still night I could not see anything around me. I had to use torch to find my gear inside my bug.

Lighting

I had to use my lens wide open because light was very little. I shot just before sun was rising. I wanted to capture those nice colours as well as shadows. I tried to balance back and front ground light during shot.

Equipment

This was shot on canon 5d mark II hand held plus 85mm f1.2

Inspiration

Light before sunrise is the greatest.

Editing

I have used lightroom. I tried to overexpose model and to saturated the colour.

In my camera bag

85mm, 135mmm canon 5d mark II, flash

Feedback

try to think about the image and find a location to shoot. Think about it carefully because sun is very wick to rise and colour disappear very quickly. Do some test before to shoot with model so you will already know about aperture and shutter speed.
