Behind The Lens

Location
I took that photo on New Zealands east coast.
Time
The photo was taken at sunrise, probably even before sunrise. Getting up early is a key point.
Lighting
Beautiful high cloud lit up this morning.
Equipment
This was shot with a Canon 5DMK2 and the 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM. I also used a tripod and a grad filter.
Inspiration
Rocks, water and beautiful skies always make up for a good shot.
Editing
In post I only adjusted the shadows and highlights and did a little sharpening.
In my camera bag
I usually carry my Canon camera with a large variety of filters, remote control and a tripod.
Feedback
Always try to get up early and check the weather regularly in order to know what conditions you can expect. Shooting at the ocean also requires checking the tide times.
