Location
This photo was taken in Canmore, Alberta. Near the southeast boundary of Banff National Park. My daughter and I stayed at a hotel there and this was just with in walking distance of our hotel.Time
We decided to go for a walk just wanted to explore our surroundings after we arrived at our hotel. It was early evening and the lighting was perfect!Lighting
Nature has the best lighting !!!Equipment
I used my Canon 70D and I believe I used my kit lens because at the time I hadn't purchased anything but my 50mm lens at this point.Inspiration
Truthfully this was not a planned shot.. just walking along the boardwalk and the view was stunning.Editing
With my nature photos I usually up the saturation a tiny bit but don't play with it too much.In my camera bag
I normally do portrait photography with my 35mm, I just acquired a 70-200 mm L series lens that I am super excited to use! I also have a 60mm macro, a wide angle and 50 mm along with my kit lens.Feedback
Dusk and dawn are the best times to take pictures. The sun, the mountains and the colours all played well together for this shot. It wasn't planned and I think sometimes just taking your camera out on an evening walk is always a good thing, you never know when everything comes together for that perfect shot!
