This photograph is one of my favourite photographs I took of The Moeraki Boulders. They lay along a stretch of Koekohe Beach in New Zealand.Time
I arrived soon before the tide came in and I had to wait patiently for all the tourist to finish climbing on the boulders for their perfect shot. The tide was waist level by the time I was finally able to capture this shot.Lighting
I used a Hoya ND1000 for this shot. I wanted to use long exposure to make the water dreamy.Equipment
I used my Pentax K-50, 18-200mm Sigma lens, Hoya ND1000, a tri-pod and my shutter release remote.Inspiration
I love long exposure photography and found The Moeraki Boulders too fascinating not to capture.Editing
I used Lightroom CC to slightly adjust the contrast. In my camera bag
I keep my Pentax 50mm 1.7 lens, Sigma 18-200mm lens, hoya circular polarising filter, remote control and a notepad and pen!Feedback
I am at the start of my photography adventure. The only advice I have is to practice, practice and practice. Join a photography group, get out and capture things with other photographers, ask as many questions as you want, you will learn so much! I always try to take my camera where ever I go, if not I always keep a notepad with me incase i stubble across some where amazing!
