A Picnic Under the Stars
Finding different methods of capturing the same image is a lot of fun at night. Recently I have been testing out my star adventurer every clear night. The tracker can rotate at the same rotation as earth allowing longer exposures of the star to help with noise and also reveal more information to play with. Sitting along the shores of a lake in Parry Sound I fount this bench lining up nicely with the Milky Way. The problem was I could not see Polaris to line up my tracker. I gave a guess to where Polaris might be, to give a rough polar alignment and once I knew I could track, I then started to shoot this pano. Once the tracked images were captured, I then lowered the ball head, turned on my low level light and started capturing the foreground. Thank you for viewing and feel free to share.
4 shot pano with a Sony a7s (full spectrum) - Optolong Lpro - Rokinon 35mm t1.5 @ F-4
Sky: tracked with star adventurer - 61 seconds x2 - ISO 1600
Foreground: 123 seconds x2 - ISO 1600 + low level light
