One thing I love about coastlines is how they can be completely transformed not only over the seasons but also daily by the tides. On my local beaches the difference between high and low tide can be striking, showing a whole new world. This lonesome figure standing at the end of the peninsula for me symbolizes the ebb and flow of our own personal tides and the ups and downs of our lives.
