Behind The Lens

Location

I took the photo in a bar sink at home. I got a camera as a gift, and become interested on the features of DSLR camera

Time

I don't remember exactly. I guess that was in the afternoon. This shot was not influenced by natural light, as it was taken indoor in absence of a window for a light source. What I have were the bar lights which I switch on and off on some shots, along with the use of speedlite.

Lighting

I fired the flash because the place was dark and I do not want high ISO settings that would increase the noise that would reduce the intended metallic effect of the image.

Equipment

Canon Rebel T5, EFS 18-55mm kit lens, Canon Speedlite 430EXII, Benro Tripod.

Inspiration

Water is something that fascinate me ever since. Having a camera for the first time, I wanted to capture an imagery of how it drops in a fraction of a second. Something that my naked eye could not see to the details.

Editing

Yes. It was my first time to use speedlite. And the result of my shots were all horrible at its best. I got to correct it using Lightroom.

In my camera bag

After sometime I began to collect items that I need as I learned from the mistakes that I made while doing photography as a hobby. Now I have a Canon 80D and Rebel T5, a kitlens 18-55mm, a 55-200mm lens, the Canon nifty fifty lens, variable ND, CPL, UV filters, Canon Speedlite, and remote timer.

Feedback

Patience. One needs a great deal of patience in taking timed images. I learned more about the virtue of patience when photography became my hobby; so much more than before compared to my patience in those other endeavors I have in life. In every mistake I made in photography, I always welcome it as an opportunity to learn gradually & patiently. It also made me realize the passion and inspiration comes naturally if one is willing to wait for the right time and work for it in every opportunity that arises.
