Location
This photo was taken at one of my favorite coffee shops in Tucson Arizona. I always loved the lighting there, and wanted to find a way to capture it.Time
It was about noon, however it was indoor lighting so it made no difference.Lighting
I noticed the dim spiral lighting from the bulbs and how the orange light played off of the wall as well.Equipment
I used a Canon Rebel T5 and had no flash.Inspiration
I was inspired to take this picture because i found the bulbs and lighting to be extremely unique. I had just gotten into photography about 2 months prior to taking this picture, and i was desperate to capture every single thing that i found slightly interesting. I shot the bulbs from multiple angles and found this to be the most captivating picture.Editing
For editing this photo i brought the brightness down dramatically. I wanted the shape of the filament inside the bulb to be very apparent and not overexposed. As a result the background became almost black on the far left.In my camera bag
I only recently got into photography, so my bag consists of my Canon Rebel T5 and its 18-55mm IS II Lens. Fortunately for me, that is all i needed to capture this photo.Feedback
I am no expert, but my advice would be to experiment and constantly keep an eye out. I found these lights at a not so special coffee shop. Its amazing how photography can show the beauty and depth of seemingly mundane objects. Experimenting has also been a joy for me. I took many pictures of these bulbs, and the one that turned out the best was not the one i first took.
