I don't remember but most likely mid-afternoonLighting
Natural light. Flash scares wildlife so I always try to shoot in strong clear light whenever possibleEquipment
Canon T2i, telephoto lensInspiration
I spend a period of time quietly sitting outside so the local birds would become acclimated to me. We have lovely local birds and these sweet Tufted Titmouse are one of my favorite.Editing
Just some minor cropping and color correction. I like my images to be as lightly processed as possible. In my camera bag
My canon, a kit lens, telephoto, macro, couple of rarely used filters, back up batteries & SD card, microfiber lens cleaning cloths, and business cards.Feedback
Shoot more images than you think necessary. When you see an animal, take as many pictures as possible. Learn to be still and patient to allow animals to be unafraid and used to the camera sounds. And telephoto lens have their pros and cons but are very good for nature shots. Invest in one that offers both manual and automatic focus.
