At this arctic hillside it is nearly always windy. The landscape is without trees or bushes here, perfect for the wind to push snow again and again over the surface. Only in some spots the snow is deep. This photo is from one of my recent phototours where I took my group through the arctic wilderness of Lapland. New tour dates soon on my website.

It was a cold night and my group and me have been chasing auroras for many hours. Coming to this cabin the warmth of the fire has been most welcome.
