Location
This photo was taken in my backyard. As an amateur photographer, I find intriguing subjects everywhere. If it catches my eye, it is a new photoshoot.
Time
This photo was a spring catch, taken just before lunch on April 14th.
Being amid trees, these flowers bloom much later than other areas, as they don't get the morning sun. This shot was worth the wait.
Lighting
In the area where these crocuses bloom, the sun is the backlight, just making it's way through the trees about noon in April.
Lighting is one of the main focuses in great photography. I look forward to continued learning about this part of sharing special moments in time.
Equipment
Nikon D3400,

Inspiration
In the forest, the vibrant purple color of the flowers with the sunlit backlight caught my eye. I love to share the ahhh moment through pictures.
Editing
Post processing was simply to crop the original photo a bit. This brought the main focus to be the flowers.

Feedback
My first recommendations are to be prepared for a quick photo.
Always have your camera ready. Charged batteries, sd card with space on it, extra batteries and sd cards readily available.
Every night before bed to be sure the camera lenses are cleaned and ready to go.
Secondly, to be prepared for the wait and the weather just in case. Snacks, water, seating, appropriate clothing.
Thirdly, try thinking outside the box. To give a new perspective, something separate from the ordinary. It's so easy to fall into ruts of taking the same pictures year after year. Open up to try new, and enjoy new adventures. Have fun!
