My first day of seeing Everest was perfect - a fresh layer of snow on the ground and clear skies, with the exception of the clouds over the 7000m peaks! I used a 10-stop ND filter and a narrow aperture to capture a long exposure when there would normally be too much light for it. Black and white was perfect for this shot.

Looking more like the alps, this is the Brecon Beacons in Wales. Stunning walk up in deep snow and amazing sunset.
