The photo was taken in music club "Wytwornia" in Lodz (Poland) during the gig of Australian guitarist Tommy Emanuel.Time
Time of day doesn't matter for concert photos in club and concert hall, and that's where I photograph concerts most often...Lighting
During the concert lighting is usually very different. Photographer had to react to frequent changes, both lighting and movement on stage. Here, it was easier, because Tommy doesn't run around the stage...Equipment
This was shot on a Canon 60D with Tamron 24-70mm f/2.8 lens. No other equipment was used.Inspiration
I love photos, when the face emerges from behond the instrument.Editing
Concert photography always requires post-processing. I used Adobe Lightroom to correct the white balance, exposure, shadows and clarity.In my camera bag
Always I have three lens: 24-70mm f/2.8 (for most of the photos), 50mm f/1.4 (when it gets extremely dark) and 70-300mm (for close-up of the face or photos from the back of concert hall). Canon 50mm is my favourite lens, because give me a chance to take photo really in difficult lighting conditions. Usually I use only one body i.e. Canon 6D and lens holsters...Feedback
Be prepared for the diversity of lighting (from light straight into the lens to almost complete darkness), colors and lots of movement on stage.
