This image was captured at the lower end of a sloping tunnel inside Bank Station that connects passengers from street level to the Waterloo & City Line. The tunnel is 250ft in length and features a moving walkway, originally known as a "Trav-O-Lator" and the first to be built in Europe when it opened in 1960. The emergency "Stop" buttons in the foreground warn passengers of the "penalty for improper use."
