Just recently as I was walking through the back porch, I noticed that our granddaughter Katie had fallen asleep on a reclining lounge chair. I saw a great opportunity to take this shot. Katie is still unaware that this photo was ever taken.

Location
The photograph was taken during a family visit to my daughter's home in Myakka City, Florida.Time
It was early afternoon when I took the photo.Lighting
The photo was taken in available light on a covered screen porch, out of direct sunlight. Kate was facing away from the house, toward the open screen area of the porch in the direction of the main light source.Equipment
I took the photo with my Nikon D7100. It was a handheld shot taken from above the subject.Inspiration
I was getting ready to venture outside to take photos of my small grandchildren. Walking through the porch, I passed my granddaughter Katie who was napping in one of the lawn chairs. I raised my camera, composed the shot and released the shutter just this one time.Editing
The image was slightly cropped with Photoshop. The camera did the rest.In my camera bag
I normally have a Tamron 18 - 400 mm lens on my Nikon D7100. I find that it meets most of my needs be it wide angle landscape or closeup telephoto.Feedback
Oftentimes, some of the best shots are unplanned, taken at a spur-of-the-moment time.
