Location
This is in the country side on a drive between San Jose California and Turlock.Time
In the late morning I was driving from San Jose to Turlock CA for a funeral service for my wife's grandmother when I saw these gorgeous almond trees. I had just been taking a photography course and was learning about composition and saw that not only did the trees sort of frame the photo as a whole, but there were some really nice leading lines. I pulled over the side of the road and locked my camera on a tripod and started firing them off.Lighting
The lighting was overcast.Equipment
I used a Sony A7 II with the stock lens 28-70mm. I was on my Manfrodo tripod. No flashInspiration
The composition as covered above.Editing
Yes, I learned my post processing techniques from a close friend of mine, Serge Ramelli. He has a huge youtube following and his website is www.photoserge.com. The edits were done in Lightroom. I used HSL panel and some split-toning to change the green of the trees to a brown color, making it look like autumn. I used the radial filter and the brush to selectively pain light to specific places. In my camera bag
I used the Sony A7 II with the kit lens. I just ordered the 24-70mm f2.8 and I am pumped about that. I also have the 70-300mm in my bag. I use a Yung-noy speed light with the Gary Fong diffuser.Feedback
