My ideea was to create a long exposure showing the movement of the Earth centering on the North Star and also as a complementary spin i used a steel wool inside the cabin to make aditional sparksEquipment
I used a Canon 5d mark IV with 14mm samyang, tripodInspiration
The Earth rotatiln combined with a steel wool spin, i allways wanted to create this 2 spins togetherEditing
Yes I combined all the 160 shots of the star movement in pshotoshop, and from all those shots one included the steel wool sparksIn my camera bag
My bag is huge :)) it weights almost 30 kg and i carry it all over (you never know what you're gonna find on the spot) so my bag contains: 1 body 5d mark IV, 14mm f2.8, 35mm 1.4, 85mm 1.2, 16-35 f2.8 III, 24-70 f2.8, 70-200f2.8 III, 150-600mm S, extra batteries, nd and cp-l filters, tripod, my laptop for on spot editing.Feedback
Normally this is an easy shot. Most of the job is done by the camera if it has intervalometer in the options, if not you can use a separate remote controler with this option. For a full star movement circle you need arround 2 hours, so you just make a test shot so you can make the composition, and when you're set just start the intervalometer and let it do his job. The settings for the stars were 14mm f2.8/30s with an iso of 1600 ( here you can play depending of the place and the ambient light) for the steel wool you need to close in the apperture because it's too bright for the sensor and the image will be burned so i used f8/30s and i lowered the iso at 400. All this photos you than need to combine them in photoshop or another similar software that allow photo stacking.
