Peek-a-Bo

Didn't even see this guy in the first shots I took of our Amaryllis until I zoomed into 100% on my viewfinder. It was well hidden down in the flower. I made this shot with a 105 macro lens as close as I could get to the flower and maintain a focus. There was a slight breeze moving the flower around, but I still managed to make this image with a little timing and quick fingers. I think of this as good training for the detail work I'll do in the weddings I photograph. If I can nail this bug actually standing still for me inside a bloom, shooting rings is easy stuff. :-) And thinking of that, a pair of rings in these blooms would look really cool.
