Location
In the entrance hall of my home. I just used a little corner out of the way.Time
Around midday, I think. There was very little natural light coming in.Lighting
I used just the one light - a speedlight, firing through a diffused beauty dish with a grid on. The light was positioned right above her head, very slightly forward, pointing straight downwards.Equipment
I used just the one speedlight, a Yongnuo 568Ex, a Nikon D750 and a Sigma 85mm Art lens.Inspiration
I saw something similiar on Pinterest and thought I'd like to emulate the lighting setup; I went a completely different route with the edit, though.Editing
I did do some work in post; I practically shot for post because I knew what I wanted to achieve before I even pressed the shutter. Some skin cleanup, D&B and then the conversion to B&W to get it to where it is now.In my camera bag
Just one camera and lens - a Nikon D750 & a Sigma 85mm Art lens. I have 2 x Yongnuo speedlights and a set of triggers. That's it.Feedback
Find inspiration out there and put your own spin on it. Precious little out there hasn't been done already, what's left is for you to tweak it a little and make it your own.
