I took this photo as part of a last minute shoot I was asked to do when the hair salon was let down by their booking for an avante garde style training session. I grabbed my gear and drove straight over, only about a 20 minute drive and the stylists were still doing hair and makeup so I grabbed the camera and got started with some behind the scenes shots.Time
The shoot took place on a Sunday afternoon outside of normal operating hours so the atmosphere was relaxed and fun.Lighting
I was experimenting with 2 new Yongnuo 560 speedlights with umberellas and a Yongnuo wireless trigger kit. But worked great after getting to grips with setting them up but both flashes & 2450mha rechargeable batteries became overheated after a while and needed a rest.Equipment
I used a hand held Canon 80D with the excellent Sigma 18-35 F1.8 Art lens and two Yongnuo 560 speedlights with umbrellas.Inspiration
This was a last minute shoot which sometimes end up being the best.Editing
I used Lightroom CC to get the desired look .In my camera bag
My 18-55mm broke so i have a gap in the range at present. My other lense is a Canon 100-400 mk1 f4.5/5.6 L IS USM for aircraft & bird photography.Feedback
