Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken around summer solstice in Sainte-Hyacinthe, Québec.

Time

Sunset, around 8:30 PM.

Lighting

No need for a flash. I just boosted shadows a tiny bit to feel the light on the subject.

Equipment

Sony a6000

Inspiration

Every year we gather at a friend's place to have a family party for the Fête Nationale du Québec. Facing this friend's home, across the road, sunsets are just magnificent. A natural rural landscape definitely worthy of attention !

Editing

I just boosted shadows a tiny bit to feel the light on the subject. A few spots are there, dust or sand most probably, inside the camera. I kept them in : sometimes imperfections give out a kind of purity, a "just had to be there" moment.

In my camera bag

My camera, memory cards and a full battery.

Feedback

Have a camera ready. When you feel like it, just point and shoot. It's all about feeling like it. Oh, and point outwards! :)
