Yes Connie this is beautifully done that black background is a perfect foil for the whiteness of that gorgeous horse!

i took this photo on my little Farm in Fort Valley Georgia, Horses always present a great photo op...although when photographing Horses it is good to have an Assistant ,this Photo of Menes was just a Candid shot as he was quietly watching me hoping for a Treat ... My Horses are my Inspiration and the reason why i own a Camera.Time
i took this Photo in the afternoon around 5.30 PMLighting
late afternoon light is great when photographing Horses that are light in color..bright sun can really wash them out in this Photo the sun is behind me ,the Horse is standing in front of a wooded area making it easy to darken the backgroundEquipment
this photo i took with my Nikon Coolpix P900, handheld no flash or other lighting usedInspiration
My Horses are always an Inspiration to me..the Beauty and Grace of a Horse ,especially Arabians... could Inspire anyone to want to pick up a CameraEditing
i use Lightroom for post processing clarity and sharpen and in this case to darken the background to nearly black...then changed the Photo to BLK/WhiteIn my camera bag
i now carry 2 Cameras Nikon D5500 and Nikon D500 Sigma 150-500 Lens and a 70 -300 Lens ,TripodFeedback
photographing Horses is not always easy but lots of fun...it is a great idea to have an Assistant, otherwise they will walk right up to you to get a taste of that Lens..i love Natural Light ,when shooting Horses learn Conformation and Angles i am still learning as i am self taught ...most Important is to have fun and keep shooting
