Thank you, everyone, for the comments on my win and yes I always have the camera by my side.

Location
This photo was taken out in the country north of Stettler Alberta at a location close to White Sands along Buffalo Lake.Time
It was late afternoon between 4-5 o'clock in the afternoon in late OctoberLighting
Not really as this was on a late fall afternoon and it was also a cool cloudy day and I took this facing to the western setting sunlight. So this was taken with natural lighting at this time of day.Equipment
I was using Canon Rebel T3 at this time and had a Tamron 55-250 zoom lens no tripod usedInspiration
I was out looking for wildlife to photography and I knew their lots of deer in this area. plus I had bee looking for a chance to get a photo of a buck deer. I when I saw this fellow running across the field I just had to try and get some pictures of him and was lucky enough to almost come face to face with him .as he came across the field and then stopped and looked right at me I took some photos, and when he decides he was moving on I just followed and took this picture as he jumped the fence and continued across the and actually jumped another fence in which I snapped that shot also.Editing
Yes, I cut out some background and for ground and did some light adjustment to clear it up a bit moreIn my camera bag
Today I have a Canon Rebel T6 with the 18-55 canon macro lens, I also have a Canon 70-300 mm image stabilizer a tripod, extra batteries, lens cleaning kit, a remote shutter release, extra flash mount, filters, and a couple lens attachmentUltimax Studio series HD2.2x AF Telephoto lens 58mm. a Studio series HD 0.43x AF Wide-Angle lens 58mm MACRO.Feedback
To capture a photo like this most of the time is per luck and lots of patients in being out in the country near your home or sometimes when you are traveling and you have the time and a safe place to stop along the road some and opportunity will be around the corner. I have also missed lots of good opportunities because of no place to stop at the time or the subject is on the other side of the car.
