This picture was taken at Great Gully in Union Springs, NYTime
Early afternoon. It obviously was in the autumn so light fades early. Wanted to get that golden hour ambianceLighting
Used no flash just the natural light. Gotta love early afternoon.Equipment
Nikon d3300 with the stock 55 lens and a basic lightweight tripod for stabilityInspiration
I'm always inspired by waterfalls and autumn is my favorite season for many reasons. I live the way the natural light illuminated the fall colors.Editing
Very little post editing. Probably used aviary on this. Just used to to adjust tones a bit and pop sone if the colors. In my camera bag
Just the basic Nikon kit I bought when I started. Git the Nikon d3300 and the two standard lenses.Feedback
Just keep practicing. Play with all your settings and the compare the results. I usually end up with way more things i don't like than shots but I'm learning. Also look for different angles and natural features that frame or contrast to the intended subject. I also find that playing with how you focus it or use vinget can really add to the tone of the photo.
