North Carolina is blessed with an abundance of natural beauty. Waterfalls dot the landscape throughout the Tarheel State's mountain regions. My personal favorite is Upper Catawba Falls. Spending summers at nearby Ridgecrest Conference Center hiking to Catawba Falls was a favorite activity. The hike is not easy, but the view is worth the effort!
