My friend moved to Hamilton, Ontario from her small reserve in Saskatchewan. She loves her life there and she inspires me immensely. The picture taken in downtown Toronto, reminds me a beautiful independent women making her way through the hustle and bustle of the big city. This picture was taken, also, during the big blizzard Toronto had this winter which spoke to the idea behind the photo. A fearless young indigenous woman.
