Behind The Lens

Location
This photo was taken at home.
Time
This photo was taken at midday but there is no exact time to take this kind of photos as you use lamps, speed lights etc.
Lighting
For this particular photo I just used a bedside lamp behind the baking paper which acts as a superb diffuser for a soft light. I then moved the lamp closer or further to the baking paper which gives you the feathered circle, the further the more feathered light the closer the more sharp circle.
Equipment
I used a Nikon D750, Nikon 50 mm 1.8 Lens, Velbon Tripod and a bedside lamp also for the soft circle reflection the wine glasses where onto of a piece of clear glass.
Inspiration
It was actually for a competition I entered which actually got top marks.
Editing
Yes, but minimal post processing was I just used curves to do B & W, cropping the image and exposure.
In my camera bag
Nikon D750, Nikon 105mm Macro, Nikon 50mm 1.8, Nikon 70-200mm, Nikon 200-500mm, Nikon SB700 Speed light, Sigma 12-24 Art Lens, 4 Spare Batteries, Battery Grip and cable release.
Feedback
Actually it´s a very easy shot to accomplish, just put wine glasses in line get baking paper behind the glasses to act as a diffuser move the lamp behind forward or backwards till you get it were you want to, camera on tripod with cable release to avoid camera shake play with the aperture till you think the lighting is of your liking Aperture priority mode so the camera will automatic select the speed to shoot just play around with the iso.
