Visited Yosemite recently on a cloudy and drizzly weekend. When we got to Tunnel View at sunrise, all we could see was a thick wall of fog obscuring the entire view. We waited patiently with a hundred other photographers, hoping and praying that the sun would burn through the fog. And it did ...well, almost. Gradually the fog thinned out and we caught a glimpse of El Capitan with its sheer granite face, Half Dome in its wintery splendor, and Bridal Veil Falls gushing after the recent rains. And soon another bank of fog came and covered it all up. It was as if Nature had pulled the curtains aside for a short period so as not to disappoint us.
