I was able to get this shot while walking down Vail Mountain in Vail, Colorado. As I was walking down, people kept asking me if I had seen the bear. I figured this was just a rumor but got my camera out just in case. Soon enough, I ran into this young Colorado black bear. He wasn't aggressive but I stayed near a group of people just in case. As I was shooting, the bear was able to hear me and looked directly at my camera. We knew this bear was young because it was out midday on a popular trail. A very rare and cool experience it was!
