This is one of my favorite shots. After years of saving - This photo was taken during a solo trip to Vancouver Island in Canada! Elk Falls is a must see!Time
It's actually funny - I arrived on Vancouver Island from Ontario with the first snow storm in about 10 years! (2017- check it out!) This photo was taken on a very foggy and rainy day, about mid morning about 1-3 days after the storm.Lighting
There was a temporary moment where the fog had cleared enough that I saw the opportunity to get a (hopefully) clear shot of the bridge itself. The photo was snapped as the fog began rolling back in - I absolutely love how it turned out.Equipment
I used my trusted old Nikkon 3300 18-55mm!Inspiration
I absolutely love perspective - There were so many different angles and views in one area of this park. In addition to the bridge itself there also a couple centered on the walkway which was not staged. I couldn't have asked for a better environment. When presented, I'll always take advantage of beautiful moments!Editing
I believe the only thing done to this photo was a basic or "quick/auto" enhance of the photo itself using Photoshop literoom. In my camera bag
I always keep an extra battery, charger and water bottle for my pub!Feedback
Elk falls has other great views as well - the fog was just an added bonus that day. Don't be discouraged to do something different. I was crouched down in the drizzling rain on my own. Take photos to feed your soul!
