Hypnotic Leep... my ray of light in the darkness
I was shooting with a strong sunlight and I decided to exploit it to emphasise the contrast white and black on this old pier avoiding shadows on the dog waiting her (Leep) to be very close. In this way her beautiful hypnotic eyes, her powerful and intensity are visible. A dog in a run is not simply a dog frozen but something that means action and motivation.
For me Leep in this photo is like a ray of light in the darkness...

Location
I took it in Italy with a dog of mine. She is the perfect example of how she works....she is hypnotic and so intensive. This is what I wanted to catch with this photo.Time
It was so hard cause it was a string sunny day with many random shadows on the bridge where the dog was running.Lighting
The problem of many shades cause the lateral fence on the bridge and the sunny day brought me to select the right moment on this picture to avoid bad and strong shadows on the fort.Equipment
I used my favourite equipment, the Nikon D5 and the Nikkor 300mm f/2,8. I love to take picture in natural light without use flashes or strobes. I also prefer to shot free hands without tripod to be more creative moving continuously during the shooting.Inspiration
The dogs always inspire me in the shooting. Each dog inspire me differently and I adapt myself to the result I can have.Editing
In this picture the post processing is really minimal and dedicated to control just the colours and the details. In my camera bag
My bag is something to never forget at home. Inside I put the Nikon D5 for action, the Nikon D750 for few landscapes with dogs that I never post and I do fro myself only. Then The Nikkor 300mm f/2,8, the Nikkor 200mm f/2, the Nikkor 105mm f/1,4 and the Nikkor 14-24mm f/2,8.Feedback
I suggest to anyone likes these photos to communicate with the dogs before and understand what is really amazing in that dog. This is small but very important secret!
