Dear Amanda and Daisy: Mules are popular and very useful on continental US, they can do things that horses cannot. A friend of mine has a retirement hobby in running a farm devoted to donkey and mule rescue. He is happy as a lark to spend his days with those great animals. Thanks for commenting. :) :)

Dear Daisy: I love going to the Midwest county fairs because of the animals, I try not to miss a thing from the rabbits, to goats, cows, and horses. I envy the people who have the space to raise those large animals. I also envy their energy levels...ha, ha!
