Behind The Lens

Location

Nova Scotia, Canada

Time

It was mid-morning on a sunny day with a perfect sky.

Lighting

The lighting was perfect. The sky was cloudless and blue. The church was perfectly illuminated.

Equipment

I used my point-and-shoot Canon PowerShot SD1100 IS. No tripod was used.

Inspiration

I liked the symmetry of the composition with the church directly in the centre of the frame, and the grass and hedge lining the pathway.

Editing

No post-processing was done.

In my camera bag

I always have my iPhone with me. Depending on what I’m planning and how much time I have for a photo shoot, I’ll either have my Canon PowerShot or my Canon EOS T5. I also have two tripods, a small one that is easy to carry and a tall one that I use mostly for night shoots or to capture a fast moving vehicle.

Feedback

This photo was unplanned. So…my advice is always be prepared and take advantage of any opportunity that presents itself.
