Location
This is a good example of keeping your eye on your day to day life. I must have past this tree hundreds of times and never looked at its potential till I had a camera in my hand. The tree is located in a park I used to walk past when exercising.Time
If memory serves , it was taken around midday. Thankfully the day was overcast giving the image that nice soft light look.Lighting
I've always liked looking up at trees abd marvelling at their age and what they had seen. Using the shade and an overcast day. It gave the image a nice, soft and gentle feel.Equipment
This image is freehand, as with most of my day to day walking around photography. We doing thos type , I like unburdened. So much packed my nikon d820 and my 1.4f nifty 50.Inspiration
As with most of my photography, I draw one memories. This one is my childhood. I spent alot of time under and climbing trees. Lots of time looking up and marvelling at the way they swayed in the breeze.Editing
Yes , I like to recreate memories and emotion. The original image had more green leaves in it then I liked. So I changed the tones to match a more autumn feel.In my camera bag
When shooting a whole day I take everything. D820 , nifty 50 1.4f, 200-500mm , 12-24 f2.8 and my 70-200mm f2.8. I find that most of those cover any situation.Feedback
Open your eyes to day to day things that you pass everyday. Just about anything can be attractive to photograph,if you get the right angle and right lighting.
