Pitru Paksha (A hindu ritual) which translates to "fortnight of the ancestors" is a 16-day period dedicated in the honor of ones ancestors. Sacred rituals, fasting, donations and food offerings to the poor and needy are made during this time to pay homage to one's forefathers and gratify their souls. Photographed one early morning around 4am, while sitting on the steps leading towards Ban Ganga.
